is it wiser t o have a S Corp on Long Island opposed to NYC to avoid paying general tax?

I have a S Corp in NYC. I was combining my personal income and business income together. Because I have to pay NYC General Tax, and all other taxes am i expected to take a huge loss.

Thank you for this in-depth discussion on the available options for incorporation for small businesses, and their differences.

Good stuff!

I can't think of any reason why that would automatically make you a member or employee of the LLC.

Thank you for the post. I'm very exited that you have started blogging again. I find this information very useful for small business owners.

I have a question regarding an LLC. My husband formed SMLLC a few year ago under his name . Now that I sometimes help him, he put my name on the bank account as an additional signatory. Does that mean I became a member or an employee of the LLC?
